The Emmaus High School girls volleyball team won a pair of Eastern Pennsylvania Conference matches last week in the final full week of the regular season.
In doing so, the Hornets clinched a spot in the EPC playoff tournament.
Emmaus secured straight-set sweeps over Allen last Monday, Oct. 5, and Dieruff last Thursday.
“It was a good week for us,” said Hornet head coach Jessica Olang. “After that Parkland match, we really wanted to get some positive momentum going again, and we were able to do that with these last three matches.
“I just want to see consistency and have the girls keep this going.”
In the victory over the Canaries, Emmaus won by scores of 25-22, 25-9, 26-24.
Three players led the offense with six kills, including Andraya Flowers, Olivia Yurasits and Fiona Answini. Flowers also had three service aces and Answini added seven digs. Ja’Miyah Sanders finished with four kills. Both Rosie Landino and Faith Brown tallied three kills with Landino contributing three digs and three aces.
Emma Nesfeder totaled two kills, nine digs and four aces, along with 31 assists. Esme Pinto recorded nine digs and Ashley Hoppes added six digs and two assists.
