EHS girls soccer bounces back from season’s first loss

The Emmaus High School girls soccer team came out on the wrong end of a game for the first time during the 2026 regular season as it split a pair of games last week, one in the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference and another a nonconference game.

The Hornets lost 1-0 at Nazareth last Wednesday, but responded by defeating Neshaminy 4-0 last Friday.

In the game with the Blue Eagles, Nazareth scored the lone goal in the second half from Abby Kilareski on a penalty kick.

It was just the third goal given up by Emmaus all season. Zoe Reppert finished with three saves. Both teams recorded four shots on the game.

In the victory over the Skins, the Hornets netted two goals in each half, with Cecilia Albeck leading the way with a goal in both halves. Brooke Evans, who scored the first goal of the second half, assisted on both of Albeck’s strikes.

Lilly Desidero rounded out the scoring with the second goal of the first half off an assist by Dempsey Hochbein.

Zoe Reppert and Morgan Betz split time in net for the Emmaus defense. Reppert finished with three saves and Betz made two saves.

Emmaus, which heads into the final week of the regular season at 15-1 overall and 13-1 in the conference, has one more game, at rival Parkland Wednesday evening.

The Hornets will most likely be the second seed in the conference tournament, with the Blue Eagles earning the top seed.
