St. Ann School hosts walkathon Oct. 9

St. Ann School in Emmaus held its annual walkathon fundraiser Oct. 9.

The theme of the fundraiser was “Rooted in Christ.” Students, staff, and parents wore T-shirts depicting a huge tree to celebrate the theme. Students raised money by walking from the school to Rodale Park and back. Younger students made a lap around the school. Roary the Lion mascot was present to lead the students on the walk and cheer them on.

The Emmaus Fire Department brought its engine for the students to learn about during Fire Prevention Month.

After the walk, students enjoyed lunch on the lawn. The afternoon was spent enjoying activities at each of the grade level tables that were set up throughout the parking lot.

The weather cooperated and provided for a beautiful afternoon.
