Sylvia Ellen (Stravino) Gill, 87, of Whitehall, died Oct. 16, 2026. She was the wife of the late John for 56 years.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of Edward and Rose (Pletz) Stravino.

She graduated from Allentown Central Catholic High School.

She answered a call to faith early in life by serving as a Sister of the Visitation.

She later began her professional journey as a surgical technologist at Allentown General Hospital and the AT&T Phone Center. She went on to join Western Electric (later part of AT&T, Lucent and Agere) for more than 25 years before retiring.

She was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church, Whitehall.

She is survived by three daughters, Therese with Michael Sowa of Camp Hill, Yvonne Kuklis of Macungie and Jonelle with Harry Yonak of Orefield; five grandchildren, Alexander and Zachary with Carly Sowa, Natasha with Ryan Kahn, Luke Kuklis and Dominic Yonak; a brother, Don; and a sister, Suzette.

She was predeceased by two siblings, Pasquale and Gloria; and a son-in-law, Tom Kuklis.

There will be a calling time 2-4 p.m. Oct. 25 at the funeral home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton, and then 10-11 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial 11 a.m., Oct. 26 at the church, 618 Fullerton Ave., Whitehall.
