Richard D. Nagy, 84, of Northampton, died Oct. 5, 2026. He was the husband of Barbara (Kantz) Nagy for 64 years.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late John T. and Theresa A. (Groff) Nagy.

He was a 1961 graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School.

He worked for the teamsters as a truck driver for many years, but his true passion and life’s work was his farm. He took great pride in the farming legacy he was raised in and was honored to carry it forward throughout his life.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Tammy Dougherty and husband Jeff; a daughter-in-law, Rachel; four grandchildren, Kenneth Mann and wife Brittany, Tyler Mann and wife Meagan, Tiffany Kelly and husband Matthew and Evan Dougherty and wife Marissa; a stepgrandson, Kyle Miller; great-grandchildren; a brother, John A. and wife Sandra; a sister-in-law, Alice; and nieces and nephews, Roxy.

He was predeceased by a son, Anthony; and a brother, Thomas.
