Coplay Public Library: There’s still time to purchase tickets for library’s basket drawing
Tickets are on sale for our basket drawing until Oct. 10. Choose from lottery tickets, a children’s creative basket or mum and ornamental pepper plants.

Reminder: Storytime and craft is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Oct. 9 and 23. Registration is not required.

The library is showing “Charlotte’s Web” Oct. 10, “The Fox and the Hound” Oct. 24 and “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” Oct. 31. Movies start 11 a.m.

Join us to celebrate the season during our fall festival, planned for 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Oct. 17. We will start the festivities with storytime with Janice 11 a.m.-noon. There will also be pumpkin decorating, face painting, whimsical balloon art, corn hole and more. A coloring contest and scavenger hunt are also planned.
Refreshments will be available.

Shopping passes for Boscov’s Friends Helping Friends fundraising event are here. You will enjoy a discount of up to 25% on in-store purchases 8 a.m.-11 p.m. Oct. 21 and a chance to win a Boscov’s gift card.
The passes cost $5, and 100% of this donation goes to the library.

The library is collecting items for Whitehall-Coplay Hunger Initiative Food Pantry through Nov. 30. Place donations of canned/boxed food items in the collection box in the library entrance.
The items needed include all types of canned soup, pasta side dishes like Knorr’s, any kind of cereal, instant oatmeal, pancake mix and grape or strawberry jelly.

Stop by for the teen and adult coloring group 5:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesdays. Registration is not required.

Join our Fiber Arts and Friends Circle group meeting 1-2 p.m. Wednesdays. Learn to crochet, work on a current needlecraft project or just get advice from our more experienced crafters.
We have extra yarn and knitting/crochet needles for you to use if needed.

We are accepting eyeglasses and hearing aids (in Ziploc bags) for Whitehall Lions Club. Place them in the marked box.
Eyeglass cases are not needed at this time.

It’s never too early to start reading to your child. Sign your child up for the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program.
Read any book to your newborn, infant and/or toddler. Keep track of the titles of the books on our convenient reading log sheets or any other method you choose. When patrons reach 50, and then for each 100 books, they will get an award.
There is no time limit to the program, and more than one child can participate.

If you didn’t make it to the fall book sale, come browse our selection of fiction and nonfiction, biography, children and young adult books for sale. We also have DVDs, CDs and puzzles. Look for them on the shelves under the circulation desk and on the sale cart. Ask if you need assistance.

The library is accepting donations of books, DVDs, CDs, vinyl records and puzzles. See the donations policy on the website or call the library.
For your safety, drop donations off at the circulation desk during open hours. Do not leave donations at the front door.

If you need to use a computer to search for information or print something, we have six computers for you to use. The library also has a fax machine and copier for public use. You just need to show your library card at the front desk when you come into the library.

Go to the library’s website and use your library card number and password to access Libby under E-Resources tab or download the Libby app to your device. If you need help with your password, call the library at 610-262-7351.

The library is open 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
