Trojan field hockey starts 5-0 in EPC play
The Parkland field hockey team if off to an unbeaten start in East Penn Conference play. The Trojans improved to 7-1 overall and 5-0 in league play with three wins last week.
The Trojans picked up a nonleague win over Oley Valley Saturday, 3-2.
Lily Natale scored a goal and assisted on another in the win. Sydney Sensinger and Olivia Esteban also scored goals against the Lynx, while Kamryn Karrat picked up an assist. Goalie Audrina Stewart posted four saves as Parkland outshot Oley 9-6.
Karratt and Sensinger both had hat tricks in a 10-0 win over Pleasant Valley last Thursday. Natale, Ellie Ray, Maya Melnick and Gabby Stewart scored one goal each. Ray also assisted on three goals in the win, while Karrat, Alana Vasilakos and Kendall Pattishall each assisted on one goal against the Bears.
Audrina Stewart and Sydney Laputka split time in goal but didn’t face a Pleasant Valley shot. Parkland peppered the cage with 30 shots on goal.
The Trojans’ only setback of the season came in a nonleague game at Wilson Wednesday, Sept. 9 when they fell 3-2.
Esteban scored a goal and assisted on the other in the loss. Natale had one goal against the Bulldogs and Karrat had an assist. Audrina Stewart made nine saves for Parkland.
In the first of three games in three days, the Trojans beat Pocono Mountain East 8-1 on Tuesday, Sept. 8.
Esteban accounted for four of her team’s goals in the win while assisting on another. Lila Temchatin, Gabby Stewart, Karrat and Sensinger also scored goals in the game.
Pattishall assisted on three goals against the Cardinals, while Karrat, Natale and Leah Frew had one assist each. Audrina Stewart didn’t face a shot over three quarters. Laputka turned away three PME attempts in the final quarter. The Trojans had 25 shots on goal in the game.
Parkland cruised to a 13-0 win over East Stroudsburg South on Wednesday, Sept. 2 as eight different Parkland players scored goals against the Cavaliers.
Ray had a hat trick in the win. Karrat, Pattishall and Sensinger scored two goals each, while Melnick, Temchatin, Gabby Stewart and Natale had one goal each. Sensinger also assisted on two goals against ESS and nine teammates had one assist each in the game, including Melnick, Ray, Temchatin, Natale, Mackenzie Kidd, Lily Scobell, Claire Skrapits, Olivia Esteban.
The Trojans outshot the Cavs 32-0.
Parkland opened the East Penn Conference season with an 8-0 win over Whitehall on Monday, Aug. 31.
Ray had two goals in the win, while Vasilakos had a goal and an assist against the Spartans. Frew, Natale, Temchatin, Pattishall and Sensinger also scored goals in the win, with assists going to Karrat and Gabby Stewart. The Trojans outshot the Zephyrs 34-1 with Audrina Stewart stopping the only shot she faced.
Parkland opened the 2026 season on Friday, Sept. 28 with a 3-0 nonleague win over Southern Lehigh.
Esteban, Frew and Karrat scored goals in the win, with Esteban and Natale assisting on goals.
Trojans entered this week tied with Emmaus in the EPC standings and second to the Hornets in the District 11 Class 3A rankings.
