The Salisbury golf team finished off its best season in over decade last week.

Despite falling in the season finale to Southern Lehigh, the Falcons beat Palisades in the penultimate match of the season to earn their fifth win of 2026.

The team finished 5-5, which is the program’s most wins since going 8-3 back in 2014.

In the win over Palisades last Tuesday, Sept. 15, Chase Yakaitis shot 78 to lead the way, with Jackson Skeans (79) just a stoke behind. Hunter Kotarski (91), Dom Nimeh (98) and Garrett Leiner (106) rounded out the Falcons’ team score in the match.

Four Salisbury golfers qualified for Tuesday’s Colonial League Championships at Bethlehem Municipal. Yakaitis, Skeans, Jones and Kotarski earned a place in the 18-hole event. The top five finishers at leagues get exemptions into the District 11 Championship field.

Other players who had a low enough scoring average are eligible to play in the qualifier in hopes of advancing to districts.
