The Salisbury girls soccer team played just one game last week.
The Lady Falcons had four days off leading up to the game and will have five days off between that game and the next time they take to the field. It’s a rare light week in the middle of a what it usually a busy varsity season.
Salisbury used its lone game to pick up a 2-1 win over Lehighton. The win put the team at 3-1 overall and 2-1 in the Colonial League in the early stages of the season.
Sophomore Molly Foley picked up her first two goals of the season to lead the Salisbury offense, which has scored 15 goals in its first four games of the season.
The Falcon defense has allowed seven goals along the way. Senior goalkeeper Kacie Kaough made 10 saves in the win while allowing just one goal. Kaough has now made 31 saves in the last three games for the Falcons.
Junior Lauren Scialla leads the team in both goals and assists with four of each.
Salisbury doubles its workload this week with a pair of home games against Jim Thorpe (1-3-0, 1-5-0) and Wilson (3-1-0, 3-2-0).
