Lawrence scores three TDs in win
The Parkland High School football team did all of its scoring in the first half and was able to get a number of different players into the game during a 35-0 win over Stroudsburg last Thursday in the home and Eastern Pennsylvania Conference opener at Parkland School District Stadium.
The Trojans, which have won three games in a row, since their season opening loss at Phillipsburg back on Aug. 28, tallied 21 points in the first half and then added 14 more in the second half before cutting back in the second half.
TJ Lawrence recorded three touchdowns in three different ways in the game.
He opened the game with a 72-yard touchdown run. He also took a 55-yard pass from Finn Coen to the end zone later in the first quarter. He capped his and his team’s scoring with a 65-yard punt return in the second quarter.
Jackson Geroulo also had a punt return for a score, his was a 39-yarder in the first quarter sandwiched between Lawrence’s two touchdowns.
Jaren Sanchez recorded a one-yard touchdown run in the beginning of the second quarter.
Lawrence had just the one rush for 72 yards and the one catch for 55 yards, but that was all he was needed for on the night.
Tycen Norman rushed seven times for 65 yards. Blake Nassry had a reception for 23 yards and Coen finished with 78 yards through the air with a TD. Matt Scott led the defense with six total tackles and had a tackle for loss.
Tyler McIntyre and Benjamin Moll each had a sack and tackle for loss. Geroulo came away with his team’s only interception.
Parkland will once again hit the road for the fourth time in five games to open the 2026 regular season as it takes on Northampton Friday at Erdosy Stadium.
The Kids are also 3-1 overall and 1-0 in the conference, and last defeated Liberty 13-12 last weekend. Their only loss came at Whitehall, 31-19, two weeks ago.
