Falcons shutout JT; get blanked by Wilson

The Salisbury girls soccer team competed against two very different defenses last week and came out with two different results.

Jim Thorpe is known for allowing some goals, while Wilson plays much lower-scoring games and utilizes its defensive skills. Salisbury found out the difference between the two when it picked up a shutout win against the Olympians and then was shutout by the Warriors.

In a 6-0 win over Jim Thorpe, four different players scored goals for the Falcons. It marked Jim Thorpe’s sixth straight game without a goal this season.

For the second straight game, Molly Foley put in two goals, while Lauren Scialla had a multigoal game for the third time in the first five games of the 2026 season.

Salisbury also got goals from Camila Bautista and Lillian Pojanowski. Aurianna Bobo, Monique Calderon, Arianna Carabello, Rhya Jones, Karen Rojas, and Pojanowski all added assists in the game.

Against Wilson, the Falcons were held without a goal for the first time in six games this season as they fell 2-0. Goalie Charlotte Neuhs allowed two goals and made four saves against Wilson, while Kacie Kaough made four saves in producing the clean sheet against the Olympians.

Salisbury (4-2, 3-2) plays at Palisades and Bangor in Colonial League matchups before hosting Oley Valley in a nonleague game on Friday. Palisades (6-1-1, 3-1-1) is just ahead of Salisbury in both the District 11 and Colonial League standings.
