On Sept. 15, the Woman’s Club of Emmaus celebrated a longtime member, Maureen Storck’s 100th birthday.
Storck was born Sept. 16, 1926, in Maryland. She graduated magna cum laude from Notre Dame of Maryland University in 1948 with a degree in biology.
She lived in Emmaus from 1964 to 2004.
In 1968, Storck joined the club and was instrumental in having The Woman’s Club of Emmaus Pavilion built in the Emmaus Community Park.
Storck is an enthusiastic bridge player and a fan of the Eagles and Notre Dame football teams.
The Emmaus Woman’s Club, represented by three past presidents, presented Storck with a basket of 100 goodies, many cards and a proclamation from Emmaus Mayor Lee Ann Gilbert to mark the occasion.
