Rudolf Giesler, 79, of Emmaus, died Sept. 23, 2026, in Lehigh Valley Hospital — Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Mary Ann (McLaughlin) Giesler. They were married 51 years. Born in Helmstedt, Germany, he was the son of the late Rudolf and Emma (Kubinski) Giesler.

He earned his bachelor’s degree from Drexel University and master’s degree from Lehigh University.

He worked as an electrical engineer for PPL for 37 years, retiring in 2006.

He was a member of The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, Emmaus.

He was an avid collector of scrimshaws and a member of the Antique Scrimshaw Collectors Association. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; sons, Rudolf and his wife, Mary, Charles and his wife, Andrea; granddaughter, Cameron; sisters, Elli, Henrietta Hoffman; cousins; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, David.
