Freedom’s tennis team improved to a record of 7-2 with its victory over Pocono Mountain East last week.

The Pates swept the Cardinals in doubles matches with Katie Nenna and Alexa Holder at No. 2 (6-2, 6-2), Cassidy Huston and Stella Bauer at No. 3 (6-0, 6-0), and Jojo Davies and Payton Besecker at No. 4 (6-0, 6-0).

Casey Kiefner and Sophie Nenna won at No. 1 doubles (8-0).

Esha Kotadia was the Patriots’ lone singles winner at No. 3 (6-0, 6-0).

Bethlehem Catholic won its last two matches to reach .500 at 6-6.

The Golden Hawks topped East Stroudsburg South in a Saturday morning match, 4-2.

Sasha Mathew defeated Maya Washington, 7-6 (4), 7-6 (7) at No. 1 singles, and Brooke Mayer defeated Imani Burnett, 6-1, 6-1, at No. 3 singles.

In doubles play, Ruby Robinson and Bianca Ciarrocca defeated Ariana Browne and Zoey Haris, 6-2, 6-0, and

Alex Torres and Madelyn Araniego defeated Sophia Cooper and Nicole Pokryzwka, 6-2, 6-3.

On Monday, Beca outlasted Whitehall, 4-3.

Mathew defeated Hope Warren, 6-4, 6-3, and Caroline Dunn defeated Angelina Ramirez, 6-4, 6-1.

Robinson and Ciarrocca continued their winning ways with a victory over Alyssa Lynn-Collazo and Marilyn Ogunsemore, 6-3, 6-3.

Mathew and Dunn then teamed up at No. 1 doubles to win, 8-3.
