Lehigh County District Attorney Gavin P. Holihan has announced a state prison sentence for a Slatington man convicted of Invasion of Privacy and related offenses.

Jarrett Klinger, 42, was charged in two separate criminal cases involving the same victim, who is known to him.

On July 25, 2022, an Upper Saucon Township resident told police that Klinger, her ex-boyfriend, was harassing her. The investigation revealed Klinger sent the victim a video of them engaging in sexual contact and threatened to release that and other videos if she didn’t meet with him or talk to him.

That threat prompted the victim to file a report with police.

During the course of that investigation, police obtained a search warrant for Klinger’s cell phone. The device was analyzed by the Officer David M. Petzold Digital Forensics Laboratory of Lehigh County.

That device contained two videos showing Klinger and the woman engaging in sexual contact. The woman told police the videos were made without her knowledge or consent.

Klinger was convicted by a jury in May and sentenced to serve two to five years in state prison on misdemeanor charges of three counts of invasion of privacy, and one count each of unlawful dissemination of an intimate image and harassment. He will also be required to register for 15 years under Pennsylvania’s Sexual Offender Registration and Notification Act.

This case was investigated by Upper Saucon Township Police Sgt. Dane Carroll and Sgt. Deron Dorward and was prosecuted by Chief Deputy District Attorney Sarah K. Heimbach.
