James John Eder, 86, formerly of Coplay, died Sept. 11, 2026, at Jewel Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Allentown, where he had been residing.

Born in Allentown, Dec. 7, 1939, he was the son of the late Joseph A. and Celia M. (Nickisher) Eder.

He was of the Catholic faith.

He is survived by his sister, Barbara A. Turner of Schnecksville; nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Robert J. “Mack” Eder and Joseph J. Eder.

A private graveside service will take place at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, Coplay. No calling hours.

The Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. in Schnecksville, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
