A 46-year-old male, of Macungie, was arrested for alleged strangulation after an incident at a location along Woodbine Road, Lower Macungie Township, 9:10 p.m. Aug. 24, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

DUI

A Maryland motorist was taken into custody for allegedly driving under the influence after a traffic stop near the intersection of U.S. Route 222 and North Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, 11:21 p.m. Aug. 9, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

DUI crash

A Macungie motorist was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence after a hit-and-run crash at a location in the 5300 block of Princeton Road, Lower Macungie Township, 10:54 p.m. Aug. 29, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A Macungie motorist allegedly was driving under the influence in a two-vehicle crash in the 3400 block of Gehman Road, Lower Macungie Township, at approximately 9:04 p.m. Aug. 14, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Theft of vehicle

A red 2002 Ford F-450 was removed from a gravel lot in the 5000 block of Reservoir Hill Road, Lower Macungie Township, sometime between Aug. 7 and Aug. 10, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The truck had been left unlocked with the keys in it, according to authorities.

Theft

An electric scooter, valued at $850, a backpack, valued at $150, keys and clothing were removed from an area between restaurant Texas Roadhouse, 6268 Hamilton Blvd. and retailer Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, Aug. 11, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Identity theft

Someone persuaded a Lower Milford Township resident to provide a picture of their driver’s license via Zoom after calling and impersonating the FBI and a bank official claiming the resident’s credit card was used to purchase illegal firearms and launder money, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The resident did not give further identifying or bank information to the caller.

A resident of Briarwood Drive, Lower Macungie Township, learned a credit line was opened using their name and personal information, 2:46 p.m. Sept. 1, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A resident of Church View Road, Upper Milford Township, learned an attempt was made to access their personal information July 13, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A resident of Kraussdale Road, Lower Milford Township, reported the possible theft of official documents, July 14, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Retail theft

Someone removed items valued at $1,496 from retailer Ulta Beauty, 833 N. Krocks Road, Suite 103, Lower Macungie Township, July 10, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The retail theft was reported July 11.

A person is suspected of removing items from retailer Walgreens, Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, Aug. 29, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The person was described as wearing a black sweatshirt and mask.

Criminal mischief

A 20-year-old male, of Slatington, was taken into custody for allegedly throwing a large rock through a glass panel of a door at a residence along Greystone Circle, Lower Macungie Township, July 28, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The rock shattered the panel. The male fled the area in a vehicle but was soon taken into custody, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Damage to the door was estimated at $999.
