Robert R. Reiss, 91, of Emmaus, died Sept. 10, 2026, at Cedarbrook Nursing Home in Allentown. He and his wife, Florence E. (Mohr), would have celebrated their 73rd wedding anniversary Sept. 12. Born in Emmaus, he was the son of the late Henry M. and Ruth (Salladae) Reiss.

He was a graduate of Emmaus High School, Class of 1952.

He began his career as a fireman for the Emmaus Fire Company and was later promoted to fire chief in 1972 where he held the position for 30 years until he retired.

He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Emmaus.

He is survived by his wife, Florence; daughter, Patricia Fegley and her husband, Gregory; son, James; brother, David; sister-in-law, LeAnna; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Thomas; brother, Bruce; sisters, Ethel Boyer, Gloria Flexer, Shirley, Susan Craddock.

Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Sept. 16 at Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus, A visitation will be held 10-11 a.m.
