The Salisbury golf team opened the season with a 435-477 win over Lehighton Monday at Wedgewood Golf Course.

The host Falcons were led by sophomore Chase Yakaitis, who carded a 72 with teammate Jackson Skeans three strokes back with a 75. Markus Jones (95), Dom Nimeh (96) and PJ Campbell (97) made up the rest of team score.

All eight Salisbury players who competed in the match shot 100 or less as Casey Wells (99),Garrett Leiner (99) and Logan Kao (100) made up the rest of the Falcon line up in the match.

The Indians were led by Mikey D’Amico, who shot 77 in the match. Teammates Kase Kelintop (95) and Braydon Ulshoffer (99) were the only other two Lehighton players to break 100 Monday.

The Falcons (1-0) will be back at Wedgewood on Wednesday when Palisades hosts them in a dual match.
