Ricky L. Traub
Ricky L. Traub, 77, of Salisbury Township, died unexpectedly at home Sept. 1, 2026. He and his dear wife, Charlene A. (Miller) Traub, would have celebrated 56 years of marriage in December. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Herman F. and Ethelmae W. (Neimeyer) Traub.
He was the produce manager for the family business, the former Traub’s Market in Allentown, for many years.
He was a graduate of Southern Lehigh High School, Class of 1967.
He was an Army veteran who served during the Vietnam War.
He was a member of Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church in Allentown.
He was a lifelong member of the Mt. Allen Hunting Club, started by his father who was one of the founders of the club in 1929. He was a passionate outdoorsman, creative craftsman and storyteller of past times. He loved to chop wood, split rocks and work with his hands, always modeling a strong work ethic.
He rarely missed an opportunity to watch his grandsons play football, baseball, wrestling, or lacrosse. Their accomplishments brought him immense pride and his enthusiasm from the stands.
He will be deeply missed by his family. Though he is no longer in the stands cheering on his grandsons or walking in the woods he loved so much, his stories will be told, his craftsmanship will be remembered in the things he made and his patriotic spirit will live in our hearts forever.
He is survived by his wife, Charlene; son, Chad J. and his wife, Angela; siblings, Mark, Janet Wetzel; grandsons, Tanner J. and Logan H. He was preceded in death by his older brother, Jerry, in 2019.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to SL Football Booster Club, SL Baseball Booster Club, or the SL Boys Lacrosse Booster Club.
Arrangements by Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Emmaus.
