The October-Jest murder mystery event begins 5:30 p.m. with a night of fun, felony and fellowship. There is a cost to attend.

Presbyterian Church of Catasauqua will hold the first day of Sunday school Sept. 13 and a special rally day Sept. 20. Sunday school hours are set for 9:30-10:30 a.m. every Sunday.

Northampton County received an additional supply of Farmers Market Nutrition Program vouchers for low-income senior citizens and WIC participants. Vouchers will be available on a first-come, first-served basis and will be distributed by Sept. 15 or until they run out.

Vouchers can be applied for and picked up 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Tuesdays or noon-4 p.m. Thursdays from the county’s department of human services building, 2801 Emrick Blvd., Bethlehem.

Historic Catasauqua Preservation Association and Mrs. Nothstein’s Helping Hands is having a pierogi sale fundraiser. The pierogies are the potato cheese recipe from the former St. Andrew’s Church.

There is a limited quantity being offered for presale with pickup Sept. 30 at St. John Fisher Roman Catholic Church, 1229 Third St.

If you know anyone who has been diagnosed with dementia, Alzheimer’s or autism and has the potential of wandering, they may qualify for this program.
