Karen A. Schultz, 84, of Macungie, died Aug. 31, 2026, in Lehigh Center, Lower Macungie Township. She was the wife of the late Earl D. Schultz Sr. Born in Milwaukee, Wis., she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Ann (Blaczyk) Hertig.

For more than 20 years, she owned and operated Karen’s Ceramic Shop, where she was able to share her joy and creativity with others.

She will be fondly remembered by her family and friends for her many sacrifices and the love she poured into everyone around her.

She was a member of Concordia Evangelical Lutheran Church, Macungie. She was heavily involved in and deeply dedicated to her church.

She treasured time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. Later in life, she found new adventures enjoying concerts and traveling with close friends.

She is survived by her children, Earl Jr. (Lori), of Goose Creek, S.C., Carl (Carla), of Greenwood, S.C., Matthew (Nancy), of Alexandria, Va., Dianna, of Macungie; grandchildren, Davis, Ashton, Gilbert, Erin, Drew, Dominick and Delaney; seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; a child, Kristine Lynn, who died in 1964.
