James Lee Reifinger Sr.

of Emmaus

James Lee Reifinger Sr., 90, of Emmaus, died peacefully Aug. 30, 2026, at Fellowship Community in Whitehall. Born in Macungie, he was the son of the late Richard and Gladys (Hamsher) Reifinger.

A graduate of Emmaus High School, he proudly served his country in the United States Army.

After his time in the service, he worked for Exide Battery for 30 years before retiring.

He was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan, liked to go out for rides on his Harley and go fishing with his brothers-in-law in Delaware.

He was also a lifetime member of the Macungie VFW.

He is survived by his children, Cynthia Ruth and her husband, Mark, of Emmaus, James Jr., of Carbondale, Ill., Todd, of Allentown; his grandsons, Abraham and Jordan Ruth; his sisters, Nancy Stauffer, Mary Ann Shoemaker and her husband, Clyde, Janet Butz, Kathleen Berge; many nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he is predeceased by his siblings, Richard, Donald, Ruth Munley, Blossom Gawthorp and Thelma Moyer.

Services will be held privately.
