State Sen. Nick Miller, D-14th, will host a free community shredding event 9 a.m.-noon Sept. 12 at the East Allen Township Municipal Building, 5344 Nor-Bath Blvd.

The event provides residents with a safe and secure way to dispose of sensitive personal documents such as old bank statements, tax records, medical documents and other paperwork containing personal information.

It is for paper documents only.

Lappawinzo Fish and Game Association, 25 Lappawinzo Road, Allen Township, will host its next breakfast Sept. 20.

Lappawinzo Fish and Game Association will be hosting a trip to Caesars in Atlantic City Oct. 18. Participants will leave 9:15 a.m. and will return by 9:15 p.m.

There is a cost, with a rebate.

East Allen Township will hold a trunk or treat 6-8 p.m. Oct. 24 at Bicentennial Park West, 5351 Park West Lane. Kids crafts, a costume parade and prizes for best decorated trunk and best costume will also be part of the event.
