Fire destroys truck cab at Stony Mountain Trucking

Firefighters with the Upper Macungie Fire Department were dispatched for a report of a truck fire at Stony Mountain Trucking, 1030 Blue Barn Road, Upper Macungie Township.

The call was made around 10:18 a.m. Aug. 28.

Upon arrival, the first arriving firefighters on Engine 57 reported a fully involved truck cab without an attached trailer.

Firefighters with Special Service 55 and Rescue Engine 56 with additional units including Engine 8, Tanker 8 and Engine Tanker 25 assisted at the scene.

The fire was quickly brought under control but needed extensive overhauling to be sure that the fire was fully extinguished.

The fire was declared under control in about 45 minutes with all units returning to their assigned stations.
