Theft

Someone convinced a resident of Knight Drive, Lower Macungie Township, to send $19,000 in gift cards and $20,000 in digital currency to fix their television and avoid high charges on their credit card between Aug. 11 and Aug. 13, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A resident of Fox Meadow Drive, Upper Milford Township, reported a theft/fraud of approximately $47,500 May 18, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A resident of Vista Drive, Lower Macungie Township, learned fraudulent charges were made on their credit card, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The charges were reported Aug. 22.

Someone fraudulently cashed a stolen $2,000 check, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported at a location along Kings Highway North, Upper Milford township, 3:56 p.m. Aug. 8, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A resident of Whitemarsh Place, Lower Macungie Township, learned $3,943.63 was taken through two unauthorized payments to a bank holding company, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Aug. 3.

Retail theft

Candy, chips and a vaping device, with a total value of $31, were removed from gas station convenience store Joe’s Kwik Mart, Chestnut Street, Upper Milford Township, Aug. 18, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Theft from vehicle

A wallet was stolen and two cars were damaged at a location along Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, June 14, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Damage to the vehicles totaled approximately $700, according to authorities.

Harassment

A 23-year-old female, of Lower Macungie Township, was cited for harassment in a dispute at a location along Sequoia Drive, Lower Macungie Township, Aug. 23, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Criminal mischief

A vacuum was damaged at Suburban Self-Serve Car Wash, Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The damage, valued at $1,800, was reported July 14, according to authorities.

Retail theft

A 40-year-old female, of Zionsville, allegedly removed merchandise, valued at $193.13, from retailer Weis Markets, 3440 Grandview Drive, Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The thefts allegedly happened over nine separate occasions, according to authorities. The thefts were reported Aug. 15, according to authorities.

Crashes

A motorcyclist was hurt when he was thrown from his motorcycle while traveling along Buckeye Road, Upper Milford Township, 11:47 p.m. Aug. 15, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The motorcyclist lost control of his motorcycle and fell to the shoulder of Buckeye Road, according to authorities. Macungie Ambulance Corps and Getz Service Center also responded. The motorcyclist was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital for treatment.

A motorist escaped injury in a rollover crash along Reservoir Hill Road, Lower Macungie Township, 4:40 p.m. Aug. 16, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The vehicle was in the 4400 block while traveling along a left curve when the driver lost control. The vehicle slid off the road, hit an embankment and rolled onto the left side, according to authorities. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

A motorist and his passenger escaped serious injury in a rollover crash in the 5000 block of Vera Cruz Road, Upper Milford Township, at approximately 2:11 p.m. Aug. 17, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Their sport utility vehicle struck a utility pole before toppling onto the left side of the vehicle. The driver suffered minor injuries. The passenger was not hurt, according to authorities. Emmaus Ambulance and Getz Service Center also responded.
