St. John the Baptist Catholic Church’s annual parish picnic is scheduled for 1-9 p.m. Sept. 6.

The picnic is held on the church grounds, located at Ruch and Chestnut streets.

The Pennsylvania Villagers will perform 1-4 p.m.

From 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Joyous will take the stage.

Remember to bring your lawn chair — and your appetite! There will be delicious homemade foods for purchase, like turkey, pork and ham barbecue, halupkis, pierogies, baked goods and much more.

This is always a fun end-of-summer event, where you will surely run into friends and neighbors.

The 2026 Great Allentown Fair is in full swing right now at Allentown Fairgrounds, 302 N. 17th St.

There are so many wonderful performers to catch at the fair and delicious food and rides to enjoy. Also, check out the games, cooking demonstrations, livestock and agricultural-themed demonstrations in the Agri-Plex.

The fair runs through Labor Day, Sept. 7.
