The Vera Cruz Community Association held its annual homecoming celebration noon to 8 p.m. Aug. 16 at Mystic Chain Park, Upper Milford Township.
The steady rain throughout the day moved most of the activities indoors but it did not dampen the spirits of the many volunteers who tried to remain upbeat throughout the day.
The Rehrig Brothers entertained the crowd throughout the day indoors. Activities included the penny pitch, game ball, and the cake walk. There were hot dogs, hamburgers, birch beer on tap and plenty of candy that the guests enjoyed. Upper Milford Township board of supervisors Angela Ashbrook and John Zgura endured the rain to support fellow supervisor and Vera Cruz Community Association Treasurer Dan Mohr.
All the guests and volunteers made the celebration a fun one to remember.
