By the time you read this, Salisbury Township School District students and staff will have returned for the 2026-27 school year. Students in all grades will receive their devices Aug. 26 as the new academic year gets underway. Please note there will be no school for all STSD students Sept. 4 and Sept. 7. Salisbury High School will hold its open house Sept. 24 6:45-9 p.m. The event provides families an opportunity to meet teachers and learn more about the upcoming school year.

The Salisbury High School boys basketball team will host a cornhole tournament Oct. 10 at Ringer’s Roost. Check-in will be held 11 to 11:45 a.m., with play beginning at noon. The event will feature cash prizes, basket raffles, a 50/50 drawing, food and refreshments. Registration is available at https://forms.gle/vmkW8EJhoj83ZatPA and closes Oct. 3. Spectators are welcome.

Wildlands Conservancy will host a Wildlife Meet & Greet Sept. 13 10 a.m. to noon at Louise Moore Park. Participants can meet animal ambassadors, attend an interactive presentation by environmental educators and join a guided hike to look for signs of wildlife. The event is free, but registration is required through the conservancy’s website.

The township’s recycling centers are again open for yard waste and branches. Franko Farm will be open Aug. 27 and Aug. 29. The Devonshire site will be open Aug. 31 and Sept. 3 and 5. Hours remain 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.
