Denver is a special boy and a volunteer favorite at the Sanctuary at Haafsville. He’s not only handsome but also super smart, goofy, playful, incredibly loving, and once he trusts you, he just wants to be by your side. He has gone on a few sleepovers and he was an amazing house guest — playing with his toys, enjoying yard time, watching out the windows, and soaking up every bit of love and attention. He’s also an incredible running partner and would thrive with someone who can give him the exercise, structure, and mental stimulation he needs. He has made a few canine buddies during his time here and he seems OK with cats, but slow introductions are always required in a home. Denver does need either a single owner home or an adult home with no young children who understand herding breeds and can provide confident, consistent boundaries. He’s not looking for just any home — he’s looking for his person or people. The ones who will understand him, advocate for him, and love him for exactly who he is. We know Denver’s family may be a little bit of a unicorn. But after waiting since January 2025, he deserves his happily ever after. Could you be the one he’s been waiting for? Denver is ready.
