Since it can be difficult for older cats to adjust to shelter life, Shortbread has been placed in Mandys Room. This space is dedicated to shy and anxious cats which Shortbread is not. However, Mandys Room provides a more calm environment for Shortbread. Shortbread has stolen the hearts of the shelter volunteers because she is a sweet and gentle cat. Her favorite thing is a good neck and chin scratch. She also enjoys gentle brushing sessions. Shortbread would love a peaceful home where she can have all of the attention for herself. She will join you on the couch for cuddles and quality time. It would be nice for her to have a window to herself to enjoy critter watching and sunbathing. Please consider welcoming this older gal into your home. Shortbread has so much love to give. The Sanctuary family will be sad to see her go but she really needs a home of her home. Shortbread is 8 years old, spayed, vaccinated, negative for feline leukemia virus and feline immunodeficiency virus, litter trained and microchipped.
