Firearm
A 51-year-old male, of Emmaus, was arrested Aug. 6 for allegedly being in possession of a firearm which he was not supposed to have at a location on Vera Cruz Road, Upper Milford Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Troopers assisted Lehigh County Probation officers, according to authorities.
Stolen vehicle
A silver pickup truck was removed from a location along Church View Road, Lower Milford Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported June 30, according to authorities.
Theft
Someone removed construction and related equipment, keys, diesel fuels and other items with a total value of $18, 423.96 from a location along Palm Road, Lower Milford Township, between Aug. 7 and Aug. 10, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The theft was reported by Riggs Distler and Company, Cherry Hill, N.J.
A resident of Church View Road, Lower Milford Township, learned someone took $3,000 through an online payment platform, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported May 29, according to authorities.
A wooden carved bear ornament, valued at $200, was taken from a location along Jasper Road, Upper Milford Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The theft was reported Aug. 6, according to authorities.
A resident of Chestnut Road, Lower Macungie Township, learned of 13 unauthorized transactions totaling $269.97 and delivery of three unknown packages Aug. 10, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
A 37-year-old female, of Macungie, was arrested for allegedly taking a $100 lottery ticket from a location along Willow Lane, Lower Macungie Township, Aug. 11, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Identity theft
A resident of Cedar Road, Lower Macungie Township, learned a loan was opened using their personal information, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported July 22.
Harassment
A 57-year-old female, of Macungie, was cited for harassment after she allegedly pushed another person into a flower bed during an argument at a location along Pioneer Drive, Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Criminal mischief
The windshield of a sport utility vehicle was damaged while on Chestnut Street, Upper Milford Township, July 30, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The windshield was valued at $412.52, according to authorities.
The cab door of a truck was damaged at Mack Trucks, 7000 Alburtis Road, Lower Macungie Township, June 26, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Retail theft
A 50-year-old female, of Macungie, allegedly removed items from retailer Weis Markets, 3440 Grandview Drive, Lower Macungie Township, July 21, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
A 46-year-old female, of Allentown, allegedly removed grocery items valued at $103.03 from Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, Aug. 10, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Someone removed grocery items valued at $31.19 from Giant, 7150 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, July 2, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Attempted burglary
Someone broke the glass in the front door of a private residence in the 3200 block of South Seventh Street, Upper Milford Township, between June 1 and June 9, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Crashes
A motorist was hurt when their vehicle crashed into a second vehicle after allegedly running a red light near the off ramp of Interstate 78 East in Lower Macungie Township July 28, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The motorist was traveling south on US Route 222 when the traffic signal at the intersection changed to a steady right signal. The second motorist, now facing a green light, started into the intersection and the vehicles collided. The crash toppled the southbound vehicle onto its left side and roof, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The motorist was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest campus. The Lower Macungie Fire Department, Macungie Ambulance and Mechanics Plus crews also responded, according to authorities.
A motorist crashed into a downed utility pole resulting from a crash moments before near the area of Chestnut Street and Batman Drive, Upper Milford Township, Aug. 1, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The motorist was driving a pickup truck northbound on Chestnut Street at approximately 6:23 a.m. when he saw a vehicle flashing its lights. The vehicle was among work vehicles at the scene of a previous crash and the operator was trying to warn the motorist of the utility pole in the road, according to authorities. The northbound motorist did not see the fallen pole in sufficient time, struck the pole with the passenger side of his truck, ran over the pole, blew out two tires and lost control of the vehicle. The pickup truck was towed from the crash scene. The motorist was not hurt.
A passenger car was badly damaged, including a dump bucket crashing through its hood, in a crash with a pickup truck in the 2500 block of Riverbend Road, Lower Macungie Township, Aug. 1, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The car was properly stopped at a yield sign. The pickup truck was traveling west on Riverbend Road and drove into the wrong lane of travel and along the stopped passenger car, damaging the vehicle in multiple places, according to authorities. The dump bucket of the truck went through the hood of the passenger car “up to the windshield,” according to a press release from state police. Neither motorist was hurt.
Drug possession
A motorcyclist allegedly was in possession of illegal drugs when he was taken into custody after he fled on foot from an attempted traffic stop for driving a dirt bike along Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, 6:17 p.m. Aug. 2, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
DUI crashes
A 21-year-old male motorist, of Macungie, was charged with driving under the influence after a one-vehicle crash in the area of Willow Lane and John Fries Drive, Lower Macungie Township, 10:37 p.m. July 30, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. According to a press release, the motorist was traveling south on Willow Lane, south of John Fries Drive, when he lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle traveled off the right side of the road and into a corn field where it overturned a several times before landing upright in the field. Hauser’s Towing also responded. The motorist refused medical attention.
A 43-year-old male motorist, of Macungie, was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence after a two-vehicle crash along Gehman Road, Lower Macungie Township, 9:04 p.m. Aug. 14, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The motorist allegedly sideswiped an oncoming vehicle while northbound. Mechanics Plus Towing also responded.
