Eugene A. Fisher
Eugene A. “Geno” Fisher, 91, of Macungie, died Aug. 7, 2026, surrounded by his family. Born in Dayton, Ohio, he was a son of the late Marguerite E. (Brant) and Eugene E. Fisher and husband of 65 years to Jeanne (Kasecamp).
He was a graduate of Fairmont High School, where he was inducted into their sports hall of fame. He was a 1958 graduate of USMA, West Point, N.Y., where he excelled as a two-sport athlete.
An Army veteran of the Vietnam War, Geno was stationed in Laos and earned the rank of captain.
In his spare time, he was an American Legion baseball coach, a poker player and an avid supporter of the Eagles and Phillies.
He took great pleasure in spending time with his wife and family. He loved his dogs and feeding the birds.
One of his favorite memories was facing the NY Giants in an exhibition baseball game. He had the honor of pitching against two MLB Hall of Fame players, Red Schoendienst and Willie Mays, with the latter going 0 for 2 against him.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Gene (Sandy); daughter, Jana (Tom); son, Kyle (Dusti); sister, Krista Lawhorn (Rick); grandchildren, Rob, Jen, Michael, Sarah, Matthew, Amy; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Charlie, Hannah, Ethan, Miles; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Julie; brothers, Steve and Jon.
Services are private.
