Daniel A. Bobeck
Daniel A. Bobeck, 78, of Salisbury Township, died Aug. 12, 2026, in St. Luke’s Hospital — Allentown Campus. He and his wife, Helen J. (Bartos) Bobeck, celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary Aug. 8. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Andrew J. and Catherine J. “Katie” (Chuss) Bobeck.
He was a 1966 graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School. He went on to earn degrees from Bloomsburg University in 1971 and Kutztown University in 1976.
He also served his country honorably in the Pennsylvania National Guard.
He worked as an English teacher in the East Penn School District for 35 years, until retiring.
Outside of teaching, he liked to paint and keep busy.
He worked at Wessner Beverages for more than 20 years and was a dedicated funeral assistant at K.V. Knopp Funeral Home for more than 20 years.
He was a member of St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, Allentown, where he was an active volunteer for various events and was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
He enjoyed his time as a Musikfest volunteer for 33 years, was a member of the fraternal organizations FCSLA and LPSCU and especially loved traveling to attend polka events with the Lehigh Valley Polka Club.
He enjoyed the beach and holidays with his children, grandchildren and friends.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his daughter, Kristin Wehr and her husband, Dean, of Allentown; son, Brian and his wife, Heather, of Allentown; granddaughters, Alison (fiancé Ryan), Kaleigh, Gabrielle (fiancé Joseph), Sarah Grace, Cameron; numerous cousins.
A Mass Intention or a memorial donation may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, 920 S. Second St., Allentown.
