Press photo by Faye Smith FoulkPastor Josh Gornicz and the Youth Group and members of Jacob’s Church, New Tripoli, along with representatives of Lynn-Heidelberg Historical Society and Ann Wertman of the Allemaengel 250 Committee, recently gathered to pay tribute to the remaining graves of the Revolutionary War Patriots resting in their church cemetery. Between the church and the nearby private Leaser Family Cemetery, records indicate there are 10 known grave sites. The youth shared placing the special red-white-blue ribbons on the grave markers followed with a group salute and vocal appreciation for the sacrifices of these Patriots for the freedom we continue to enjoy 250 years later.
