Whitehall Township will welcome Toolshed Jack Aug. 15 to Whitehall Parkway, 3219 S. Church St. Sponsored by the recreation department, the concert will be held 6-9 p.m.

Food and drinks will be available to purchase.

Whitehall Historical Preservation Society will continue its open houses at the Helfrich Springs Grist Mill and Peter Grim House, scheduled for 1-3 p.m. Aug. 16, Sept. 20, Oct. 18, Nov. 15 and Dec. 13.

The grist mill and house are located at 501 and 506 Mickley Road.

Hokendauqua Park and Playground Association has announced fall softball registration closes Aug. 16. The season runs Aug. 21-Oct. 31.

Softball is open for T-Ball and 8U through 19U.

First Presbyterian Church of Hokendauqua will be holding its annual yard sale 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Sept. 19 at the church, 3005 S. Front St. All proceeds from this event will benefit a worthy cause within the community.

The township will hold its annual Fall Fest 2-7 p.m. Sept. 27 at Whitehall Parkway, 4689 S. Church St. There will be musical entertainment, food trucks, vendors and more.

Mark your calendar: Whitehall has announced it is organizing an adult bus trip to Jim Thorpe Oct. 11. There are 50 spots available, and you must register in person, with a photo ID, at the municipal building, 3219 MacArthur Road.

The trip is open to only Whitehall Township residents. There is a $20 deposit, which is refundable if in attendance. The bus will leave 9 a.m. from the Parkway and will depart Jim Thorpe 4 p.m.
