Gertrude L. “Trude” Frick, 83, of Macungie, died Aug. 8, 2026, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the loving wife of Richard L. Frick, with whom she shared nearly 60 years of marriage. Born in Nanticoke, Luzerne County, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Elsie (Kline) Mensch.

After graduating from Allentown School of Nursing, she worked at various hospitals before taking time to raise her children. Later, she worked for 20 years for LifePath, caring for those with disabilities in group homes.

She enjoyed racquetball, watching her grandchildren play sports and her daily crossword puzzles.

She will be remembered for her love of vacations with her family at their beach home in Avalon, N.J. and their annual family trips to Jamaica.

She is survived by her husband, Richard; sons, Richard E. and his wife, Melanie, of Rumson, N.J., Steven C., of Whitehall; granddaughters, Lilly A. and Carter E. She was predeceased by her brother, Lynn Mensch.

A calling hour will begin 10 a.m. Aug. 14 followed by a memorial service 11 a.m. at Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 Allentown. St., Allentown.
