David Edwin Hill, 75, of Emmaus, died in Quakertown July 2, 2026. He was born in Fountain Hill to the late George (Eddie) Hill and Elizabeth (Fischer).

He proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. His time in Vietnam was an important part of his life and something he carried with him long after he returned home. Over the years, the bonds he made with the men he served alongside remained incredibly meaningful to him.

After his military service, Dave worked at Bethlehem Steel and later owned and operated his own construction business, Hill Construction, for many years.

He was happiest when he was building, fixing, or creating something. He was especially talented at woodworking and took great pride in the things he made. He loved model trains and enjoyed the time and patience that went into building them. If he had an idea, he was usually determined to figure out how to make it happen.

He is survived by his wife, Lena; his children, Robert Hriczko, of Hamburg, Charles Hriczko, of Lansford, Kimberley Hriczko, of Emmaus, Catherine Bartholomew, of Breinigsville; his grandchildren, Reve, Eli, Olivia, Joey, Alayna, Noah, Ava, Cooper; his sister, Nancy; his brother, Brad and his wife, Jackie; his nephew, Joel and his wife, Lauren as well as their three children.
