Joyce P. (Oswald) Lawrence, 86, of Old Post Road, Coplay, North Whitehall Township, died peacefully July 27, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Allentown Campus.

She was the wife of the late George A. Lawrence who passed in May of 2025.

Born in Ormrod, North Whitehall Township, she was a daughter of the late Wilmer H. and Goldie M. (Ritter) Oswald.

She was employed as a nurses aide by Liberty Nursing and Rehab Center, Allentown, for over 10 years until retiring.

A longtime member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, she was also a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She was a 1958 graduate of the Parkland High School.

She is survived by daughter, Tina M. Yanders-Budnik of Coplay, son, Timothy C. Yanders of Schnecksville, four grandchildren, Kyrie Pratt, Cody Budnik, Austin Yanders, and Kenleigh Wanamaker, two great granddaughters, Goldie and Violet Pratt, sisters, Elaine wife of Kenneth Reichenbach, Sr., and Darlene Marsteller, both of Coplay, numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by daughter, Tammy L. Yanders-Wanamaker, sister, Gertrude Knipe, and a brother, Floyd E. Oswald.

Funeral services took place Aug. 1 at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton.

Interment followed at Union Cemetery, Route 873, Neffs.
