Ester Jean (Hafer) Borascius, 84, of Schnecksville, died July 28, 2026, at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township.

She was the wife of Stanley F. Borasius Jr., to whom she was married 67 years.

Born in Ravenna, Portage County, Ohio, May 13, 1942, she was the daughter of the late John C. and Jean (Fisher) Hafer.

She was employed as an assembler in the clean room at Lucent Technologies in Allentown for 27 years before retiring.

She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Orefield.

In addition to her husband, Stanley, she is survived by a son, Robert M. Borascius (Anita) of Schnecksville; brothers Theodore Hafer (Bernadette) of Lake Wynonah, Greg Hafer (Elaine) of Auburn; a sister-in-law, Joanne Hafer of Tamaqua; grandchildren Kelly Neff (Calvin), Caryn Held (Nicholas), Matt Borascius, Cole Borascius, Wayne Gawlik, Brian Gawlik; and great-grandchildren Gwynn, Connor, Carleigh, Jackson, Madelyn, Raegyn, Norah, Rowan, Hailey, Kaden, Sydney.

She is predeceased by sons Scot P. Borascius and Stanley Borascius, and a brother, Carl Hafer.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. No calling hours.
