Punk rock will return to small Town USA with the 13th annual Punk Rock in the Park concert, featuring The Clap and special opening guest the LoFi’s. It is set for 7-10 p.m. Aug. 7 at the North Catasauqua park.

The show is free, but attendees are asked to bring nonperishable food items for Catasauqua Community Food Bank.

The Public Library of Catasauqua’s annual yard sale, in conjunction with Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, is scheduled for 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Aug. 8 at the church, 604 Fourth St., Catasauqua. Shop from a selection of household goods and home decor, clothing and accessories, jewelry, toys, collectibles, tools, sporting goods, etc.

Food and beverage will be available for purchase. All proceeds benefit the library.

State Rep. Zach Mako, R-183rd, welcomes hunters to attend a session about chronic wasting disease, set for 6-8 p.m. Aug. 27 at Blue Mountain Fish and Game Association, 4190 Wood Drive, Walnutport. Mako is partnering with the Pennsylvania Game Commission.

Discovered in 2012, it is an untreatable, fatal brain disease that affects members of the deer family and is a threat to the deer and elk population. The PGC will provide updates about how it is working to contain the disease and safety precautions hunters should take.

Four prizes will be awarded: third prize is one ham steak and one pound of sausage; second prize is a 2-3 pound pork roast, four pork chops and one pound of sausage; and first prize is a breakfast feast containing one pound of sausage, one pound of bacon, one ham steak and one dozen farm fresh eggs. North Catasauqua Police Department would like residents to know the Pennsylvania State Police Office of Homeland Security is hosting a free online webinar titled Protecting Seniors Online: Think Before You Click, planned for 1-4 p.m. Sept. 9.

The session is designed to teach seniors how to recognize online threats such as impersonation scams, phishing emails and other fraud schemes; provide practical tips for protecting personal and financial information; and explain what to do if you or a loved one becomes a victim of fraud.

Featured will be Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday; David Shallcross, of the elder abuse unit; Mary Bach, consumer issues task force chair, AARP PA; Rick Cimakasky, Pennsylvania Bankers Association and former FBI special agent; and Pennsylvania State Police representatives.

A senior expo event will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 10 at Bethany Wesleyan Church, 675 Blue Mountain Drive, Cherryville.

Presbyterian Church of Catasauqua, 210 Pine St., will hold the first day of Sunday school Sept. 13 and a special rally day Sept. 20. Sunday school hours are set for 9:30-10:30 a.m. every Sunday.
