Independent living resident Nancy Handwerk greets one of the Highland cows that came to visit for the event. Attendees also enjoyed snacks, games and piano music.

Kim Cseh, director of activities, organized the project, providing supplies and special creative sessions for staff and residents. Each participant created a craft square to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary.

The Faith and Freedom quilt project is on display.
