Train, an American pop rock band from San Francisco, formed in 1993. The band released its debut album, “Train,” in 1998.

The band’s lineup is Pat Monahan, lead vocals; Butch Walker, guitar, vocals; Hector Maldonado, bass, vocals; Jerry Becker, keyboards, guitar, and Matt Musty, drums. Monahan, who is from Erie, is the only original founding member.

“Drops of Jupiter,” 2001, contained the lead single, “Drops of Jupiter (Tell Me),” winning two Grammy Awards in 2002.

“My Private Nation,” 2003, included the hit, “Calling All Angels.”

“Save Me, San Francisco,” 2009, had the hit, “Hey, Soul Sister.”

“California 37,” 2012, had the hit, “Drive By.”

Train’s 12 studio albums include “AM Gold,” 2022, and “Mad Dog in the Fog,” 2026.
