Hurricanes A, Liberty’s varsity team, capped another strong summer by advancing to the Lehigh Valley Summer Soccer League Junior Division championship game after an impressive postseason run.

The Hurricanes’ championship run came to an end against top-seeded All Stars 16’s, which captured the league title.

After earning the No. 3 seed and a first-round bye, Hurricanes A opened the playoffs with a quarterfinal victory over sixth-seeded Phillipsburg before knocking off second-seeded New Tripoli Bank in the semifinals to secure a spot in the league final, while also avenging a regular season loss.

Hurricanes A’s appearance in the finals capped a successful summer, where they finished 9-2-1 in the regular season before their playoff run.
