Virginia D. “Ginny” McCracken, 83, of North Whitehall Township, died July 21, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospice House, Bethlehem.

She was the wife of the late J. Michael McCracken, who died in 2019.

Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Arlington C. Decker and Virginia D. (Thomas) Erney.

She was a graduate of Parkland High School, Class of 1960, and she was an administrative assistant at Prudential in Allentown for six years until retiring.

She loved her dogs, from her sweet rescue, Babe, to her labs, Chopper and Molly, and her last, Suzey, a lively Jack Russell.

She is survived by daughter, Julie DeMuth; grandchildren, Kristen and Jeremy W. LaPierre; brother, John J. Decker and his wife, Cindy; sister, Patricia L. Scarsdale.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Lori LaPierre.

Service will be private.
