Rickey Peter Gruber, 71, of Walnutport, died July 11, 2026, at his residence.

Born in Allentown, April 4, 1955, he was the son of the late Harold E. And Betty A. (Peters) Gruber.

He was employed as a machine operator at the former Daytimers, Inc., in East Texas for many years before retiring.

Since his formal retirement, he worked as an aide for the Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit in Schnecksville.

His survivors include siblings Robin F. Blose and her husband, Dennis of Nalcrest, Fla., and Ryan L. Gruber and his wife, Donna, of Schnecksville; a niece, Kelly L. of Emmaus; and beloved dog, Ruby.

A private graveside service will be held at the Union Cemetery of Fogelsville. No public calling hours.

The Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., Schnecksville has been entrusted with the arrangements.
