St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, Coplay, is holding its 72nd annual parish picnic and homecoming from noon to 9 p.m. Aug. 2 on the church grounds, 4 S. Fifth St. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the picnic, where you are sure to bump into your neighbors and friends. This event is held rain or shine.

The Josef Kroboth Band will provide entertainment 1-4 p.m., and Flirtin’ with the Mob will take the stage from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

An array of delicious foods and refreshing beverages will be available for purchase, including baked goods, barbecues, pizza, steak sandwiches and the church’s famous pierogies.

The kids will enjoy tractor-train rides, bounce houses, face painting and fun games. The adults will enjoy many games of chance, bingo and a basket raffle.
