Mildred J. “Milly” Gross, 95, formerly of Emmaus, died July 10, 2026, at the Phoebe Home in Allentown. She was the wife of the late Russell H., who died in 2014. Born in Vera Cruz, she was the daughter of the late Daniel W. and Florence M. (Hartman) Lorah.

She was a graduate of Emmaus High School, Class of 1948 and she was employed for 25 years at Rodale Press.

She was a member of St. John’s UCC, Emmaus, as well as the Emmaus Historical Society, the Emmaus Senior Citizens, the Golden Rodalians and the 10-2 Club.

She is survived by her daughter, Dale R. DeLong and her husband, Daniel; daughter-in-law, Joann; grandchildren, Chad and Tyler DeLong, Lisa McAllister and Brian; 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Daniel R.; her sisters, Virginia Schaffer and Mary Alice Schoch.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Emmaus Historical Society or to the Emmaus Public Library.

Services will be held 10:30 a.m. July 15 at Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus. A viewing will be held 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. before the service in the funeral home. Condolences may be placed online at www.BKRFH.com.
