No. Parkland Connie Mack has momentum

The North Parkland Senior Connie Mack baseball team has gained some positive momentum late in the season as it prepares the Lehigh Valley League playoffs.

The Buffaloes earned a victory in their lone game last week to continue a three-game win streak with one game left to go before the postseason.

North Parkland shutout Hellertown at home last Wednesday night 7-0.

In the victory over Hellertown, the Buffaloes took their first lead of the game with a three-run, bottom of the second inning, and then added one run in the third and then three more in the fifth.

The combination of Zachary Selyer and Nolan Kishbaugh held the visitors to just three hits and zero runs, with Seyler getting the start and earning the victory, throwing five strong innings, striking out four.

Jakobe Jimenez had the big hit in the bottom of the second to get the scoring going, tallying a two-run double.

Seyler helped himself out in the fifth with a run-scoring single and both Jimenez and Zane Whittaker earned RBIs with bases loaded walks.

Jimenez went 2-for-2 with three RBIs and a run scored.

Kishbaugh led the lineup with three hits and scored a run. Joe Kelly and Seyler each added a hit for the hosts.

North Parkland improved 12-4 overall and entered this week in fifth place in the league standings.

The top eight teams make the LV League playoffs.

The Buffaloes conclude the regular season with a road game at Forks Township Thursday.
