Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church craft fair set for Aug. 1
The dog days of summer are upon us and if you are searching for fun, family-centered things to keep the kids busy the Lehigh Valley has much to offer.
Kids ages 2-15 can bowl for free weekdays through Nov. 25 at Steel City Bowl, 1770 Stefko Blvd., Bethlehem. For more information and registration check the website at www.kidsbowlfree.com.
The Home Depot will host a Kid’s Workshop 9 a.m. Aug. 1. The feature project is a rocket game and you can register for this event at homedepot.com/c/kid’s-workshop.
Mark your calendars for the Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church summer boutique and craft vendor fair scheduled 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 1 at the church, 3441 Devonshire Road.
Do you have a budding artist in the family? Bloomery Art Co., 3416 Hamilton Blvd., Allentown, has loads of summer programs for teens and preteens. There are a wide variety of classes in mediums such as printmaking, digital art and animation, painting, fashion upcycling and calligraphy. The Levitt Pavilion SteelStacks free summer movie series continues every Wednesday night starting 6:30 p.m. Bring a blanket or chair and enjoy an evening of free family entertainment. Upcoming movies include “The Lion King (July 8),” “Aladdin (July 15),” “Paddington in Peru (July 22),” “Monsters Inc. (July 29)” and, after pausing for Musikfest, the series will close with “How to Train Your Dragon” Aug. 19.

The township’s yard waste drop-off centers are open. The Devonshire site will be open July 9 and 11 and the Franko Farm site is open July 13, 16, 18. Drop off center hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.
